We are currently on country number 15, and are trying to add as many to that list as possible so if you have any suggestions please do get in contact and we will try our best to get there!
We decided to start up a YouTube channel in 2023. We started off in Kraków in Poland and had nothing but a phone with a terrible camera and a desire to create a channel which was different from your average YouTube travel vlogging couple...

No matter how difficult the language is we learn it and speak it with the locals for a more authentic interaction, so far we have learned Polish, Greek, Albanian, Lithuanian, Croatian, German, Slovakian and a little Arabic. It's certainly a challenge trying to learn a new language with every visit, but the smiles make it worth it!
Let’s face it, a lot of the YouTube couple's travel vlogging channels these days are soooo cheesy, with their stock music and royalty free drone shots of some touristic part of a city, there’s just so many couples YouTube vlogging channels doing that these days that it is easy to get lost in a sea of repetition! It’s always the same thing too, an overenthusiastic couple with gleaming white smiles who have clearly made little effort to learn about the place, culture or language of where they are visiting and trapsing around the same old tourist areas doing the things that absolutely anyone, anywhere can do, pretty uninspiring and boring if you ask us, so we set out to create our own vlogging channel to do the complete opposite!
Many YouTubers will stick to a single continent or place, for instance we see a lot of YouTubers these days focusing solely on filming in Asia, so there is a massive gap where interesting places like the Balkans or the Middle East go ignored. We like to mix up our locations and visit a wide variety of countries meeting the people and learning about the places along the way!

Today we will be looking at how TeamMcGrath manages to travel so often and our tips for being able to find better deals, and save so you can enjoy more trips and adventures home and away, it really is possible and we will share how we do it!

When it comes to going abroad we are actually pretty frugal with our money, we tend to look for the best deals in terms of accommodation and will often go for the cheapest options, as well as this we also make use of services such as fare finders or holiday price comparers. Additionally we also utilise pay in instalment options (e.g. Klarna) so that we don't have a holiday to pay for in one go. Alongside this we also halve payments down the middle, so if we find a holiday and pay for it at £300 in total, we are only paying £150 each, and doing that in instalments is much easier too!
We use a DJI Pocket 2, we actually hated it at first due to the overexposure but we figured out how to get a better picture quality from it after wasting money on adds ons and filters which we didn't actually need! Since then we have started to appreciate it more as we can literally just pick it out of our pocket (depending on who is filming) and get right to it. We also have an extender pole so we are always getting better camera angles too.
This is an ever expanding list but currently we would say Oman, Poland, Albania and Montenegro are our more memorable trips. The people, the food, the architecture, the history, everything about these places resonate with us in one way or another and have left a lasting impression on us.
